The All-Party Parliamentary Group on North Korea is delighted to announce that the International Coalition to Stop Crimes against Humanity in North Korea (ICNK) will be one of our partners for the London 2016 Conference, ‘Addressing Violence against Women and Girls in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’.
ICNK is a coalition of over forty organisations from around the world and was created with the goal of establishing a United Nations Commission of Inquiry to investigate possible crimes against humanity in North Korea.
From its Secretariat in Seoul, ICNK holds hearings for North Korean refugees and victims, exhibitions, and other public awareness-raising events. ICNK member organisations collaborate on various campaigns, such as the sending of letters and petitions to UN bodies and directly to the leaders of North Korea. ICNK also works to keep the public informed by issuing reports on the human rights situation in North Korea.
